Home Performance with Energy Star
HPWES, the most comprehensive audit available, includes the use of diagnostic equipment. Tests include a blower door test, furnace efficiency test, comprehensive visual inspection, and gas leak detection test. This audit can take one to three hours and includes a detailed savings report. The savings report documents the estimated savings on the homeowner’s energy bills if the homeowner completes the recommended energy improvement measures.Â
Home Energy Score Assessment
Assess your home’s energy use on a scale of 1 to 10. The Home Energy Score is simple and easy to use. Have the proper information when buying or selling a home. Find out how much energy the home uses, how much it may cost you in utilities, or how to lower energy use and reduce expenses.
New Homes & Energy Star Labeled Homes
Home Performance Professionals, Inc. provides Home Energy Ratings (HERS) for builders. This includes two to three inspections with complete diagnostic testing. The benefit to the builder is that the home buyer will have third-party independent verification of the home’s energy efficiency through a rating system on the HERS Index. The HERS Index goes from one to one hundred-fifty. The lower the number, the more energy-efficient the home.Â
